One of the most amazing things about this time of year is the massive range of food available. There are new things & a lot of favourites that have had a new twist. The idea of actually making something as a gift or even just cooking the turkey can therefore seem rather daunting. To avoid under cooking, over cooking & basically ruining Christmas dinner there are loads of digital resources that can help. Let’s start with the menu! BBC Good Food is good place to start & is available as an app as well as a website. The major food shops all have Christmas recipes that will help plan your menu & make getting the ingredients easier (Sainsburys, Co-op, Lidl). Waitrose have a great Christmas planner that gives portion sizes that is also worth looking at. Once you’ve decided what you’re having & have your ingredients then the next issue is timings. The BBC also have a great Christmas timeline guide on their IWonder site. One last thing to consider is if things go wrong. A great place to go for assistance is You Tube where you’ll find all the major chiefs showing their Christmas recipes & tips for a great Christmas.
